Reference Photos & Info

What I hope to accomplish here is to collect as much documentation and as many photos of Owens Boats as possible. One thing that I've learned is hard to come by are photos of other Owens boats that we can use as a guide for our own restoration. As strange as it may sound, I've found that a great source of photos turned out to be eBay! So what I've started doing is archiving all the photos and technical info that gets published on eBay of Owens Boats for sale. HOWEVER - Please understand that I am a novice in the field of Owens history, and so when I list a boat as a certain type or year, I do so based on the info that was given when the boat was sold. I've already seen that many times the info listed isn't accurate, and so I ask for the help of our members to tell me of things that need to be corrected.

I have a directory with over 50 different boats going all the way back to 1949. If you've sold your Owens Boat on eBay in the past 6 months, don't be surprised if your pictures are in here! Please note that all these photos were drawn from eBay sales and were published openly in the public domain. However, if for whatever reason, the pictures I have published are of your boat and you do not want them displayed here, please contact me at the e-mail address below, providing proof of your ownership, and I will respect your wishes and remove the photos.

At this time, just to get everything up on the web, the directory is not very pretty. When you visit the page, it will list all the sub-directories in order sorted by year, then size, then model. When you click on the link, it will open a new directory containing the captured photos as well as an "info.txt" document which contains whatever info was published with the photos. One day as I have time I'll make that area more presentable and provide a search function, but time constraints do not allow me to do that right now.
